Ms. Lee's Homework Page

Reading: Star Words, AR (independent and comprehension), and fluency

                All must be completed 6 times a week.

                Students are required to read independently for at least 20

                minutes each night.

                Home reading log must be completed 5 times a week (only once on

                the weekend - choose one reading day on the weekend to write

                about or can summarize weekend)

Spelling: New Spelling List,  Vowel-Consonant-e

               This semester spelling lists containing 12 words following

                a spelling rule or pattern will be handed out, introduced, and

                sent home every Friday.  There will be a practice test for these

                words and 8 unknown words that follow either the current rule or

                pattern being practiced/reviewed or one previously

                practiced/reviewed.  I also might ask reviewed red flag words or

                high frequency words, as well as questions about the current list's

                pattern or rule to ensure that the concept is being grasped

                and spelling knowledge increased rather than just memorization.

Math: Lesson 17 Worksheet

           Regular Practice of Addition and Subtraction Math Facts

Social Studies: Timeline Project

                          Completed project due Monday, Sept. 20.

                          Please let me know if you have any questions.  All projects

                          must be neat and be able to be hung on the wall.  Writing

                         must be large enough to read from the wall.

Computer: Complete Typing Pal 3-5 times each week.

Additional Note: Don't forget Tuesday dress and lunch money for field trip

                            on Wednesday.
