Mrs. Stein’s Homework Page
Fluency stories and Star Words are both to be practiced with parents at least 5 times each week. Students earn 1 point each night the fluency sheet is initialed (up to 5). Students also earn 1 point each night the Star Words calendar is initialed (up to 5). This is a total of about 60 points per six weeks and failure to earn these points will affect the six week grade.
Because of our retreat, both 6A and 6B will keep the fluency and star words they received last week and test on them next week.
Also because of the retreat, there will be no "Answer" or Vocabulary Word of the Week this week.

create a cereal box or a quad-o-rama based on their folktale.

2. Create a name for the cereal based on the folktale.
3. Draw the cover and include the name of the cereal and an illustration.
4. The back of the cereal box is an illustration telling the folktale. You may use
more than one picture.

least five complete sentences.
6. The other side of the box describes the characters in the story. You will use
complete sentences for your descriptions.
7. The top will include the name of the cereal.
8. The bottom will include the name of the cereal, the student’s name and a
bar code.
Quad-O-Rama
1. I will provide the paper squares needed for this project.
2. Divide the folktale into four parts.
3. You will use one square for each part of your story.
4. Using at least three complete sentences for each part, re-tell the story. Use
your own words.
5. Draw two pictures for each of the four parts.
6. If you need help putting your quad-o-rama together, bring in your four
