May 14, 2021:
After careful consideration of the latest health directive from the Shelby County Health Department regarding the use of facial coverings, Bodine School has decided to lift the mask requirement for this year’s Summer Reading Program.
The current local guidelines as of May 15, 2021, allow for relaxed mask rules in Shelby County. The mandate also allows for schools and impacted businesses to enforce their own regulations regarding facial coverings. Faculty and students are welcome to wear a mask during the program if preferred, but they will not be required to do so. The majority of our Faculty and Staff have been fully vaccinated.
Additionally, we will continue sanitization efforts and other COVID-19 related precautions despite the lifting of our mask requirement.
