October is Dyslexia Awareness Month and it is important to acknowledge the challenges faced by people with dyslexia. For those who can read this message with ease, it is a reminder to be grateful for the ability to connect letters to sounds and create meaning. However, for 15-20% of the population, dyslexia is a barrier to reading and accessing their education. Dyslexia is a neurological learning difference that presents specific challenges in reading, writing, and spelling, while also bringing gifts in creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, spatial design, and problem-solving mindsets. This month, let us spread awareness about dyslexia and support those who face these challenges every day.
