The primary goal of the Summer Reading Program is to get students excited about reading and writing. The purposes of the Bodine School Summer Reading Program are to maintain literacy skills previously taught, to introduce new literacy skills, and to minimize loss of literacy skills. Bodine School’s Summer Reading program is held every June, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Aftercare is available from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. following the Summer Reading Program.
This year’s Summer Reading Program will be held June 7-July 1 and is open to all rising K-6 grade students. The application process for the Summer Reading Program is separate from the elementary school process. Registration for the 2021 Summer Reading Program will open on February 15, 2021. For more information about Bodine School’s Summer Reading Program, please contact our Director of Admissions, Lauren Malone at email@example.com.
